So today I was cleaning out my bulk/spam email folder and I came across an email that was a result from my “contact us” page. The guy was from Wisconsin and he was a bit upset with me. Actually, he was very upset with me. He insulted me, my religion, and called me a few names as well.

For those of you who know me, I am a fairly passive guy and try to do no harm to anyone that I know or come across. This guy obviously has never met me and I hope he doesn’t drive down from Wisconsin to let me have it in person. Although, I am curious if he knows I am 6’3, 260 pounds.

So here is what his issue was. He did a search for “Wisconsin Local SEO” and we showed up on top. He was furious that we were actually in South Florida showing up on his local results. In his view, “YOU ARE NOT LOCAL TO ME!”

Au contraire, mon frère. First of all, we might not be a local business to his city in Wisconsin but he might not be aware that there is an SEO Term called “Local SEO”. Local SEO refers to Search Engine Optimization that is provided to businesses that primarily cater to a local community. As an authorized City Grid Media Reseller, we have the ability to provide over 250 Local Listings on sites like Superpages.Com, CitySearch.Com, Local.Com, etc. So although we might not necessarily be in your backyard, we certainly to have the reach to provide Local SEO anywhere in North America.

With that said, why would someone want to go to a “local” Wisconsin SEO guy when the SEO Expert out of South Florida is ranking higher than him on the Search Engines? Internet Marketing is big business and if he would of just called me and had been nice, I just might of taken a flight to Wisconsin to talk Local SEO with him. I have never been to Wisconsin but I have heard good things about the place.
